A neighbourhood can’t build a hospital or find a cure for cancer. However, improvements to the physical, social, economic, and cultural environments in cities and neighbourhoods are the best recipe for better health. This short four-page report outlines some major ways that neighbourhoods can improve residents’ health. These actions often have the greatest impact on those residents who frequently face social exclusion.
